The inspiration for the Birdathon app is the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society's annual Spring Birdathon fundraiser. We are participating this year under the name "The Piratical Flycatchers" and invite you to support the cause! This will be my first year using the released version of the app; I used an early beta of it last year.
